I didn’t realise it was possible to under a send action in Gmail until I read the Mashable article today on it. The full article can be read HERE. But a quick summary for easy reference is as follows:

  1. Go to Gmail labs (that’s the little green bottle near settings at the top of the screen)
  2. You’ll now see a list of options that are being trialled in Gmail.
  3. Find the Undo Send feature and just enable it
  4. By default you’re given a 10 second period to undo your send order
  5. But this can be changed by going to the Settings option from the main Gmail page
  6. Click on Settings and go to the Undo Send section, which can be found under the General tab
  7. You can increase it to 20 or 30 seconds… or even decrease to 5 seconds if you want

Just remember that in order to undo the send order, you can’t navigate away from the main Gmail.

The ‘undo’ option is just a text link that appears at the top of the page after sending, so look out for it if it’s something you’ve not used before.
